In honor of Cleveland Artists Foundation's 25th Anniversary Year, Masterworks from the Cleveland Artists Foundation Collection highlights 75 works by 49 artists--from the best of the Cleveland School to their more contemporary followers, the exhibition includes work by Henry Keller, F.C. Gottwald, Paul Travis, Elmer Brown, Clara Deike, Frank Wilcox, Mary Lou Ferbert, Shirley Aley Campbell, Ken Nevadomi, Elmer Novotny, and Ed Mieczkowski, to name but a few. Cleveland Artists Foundation is proud to be the only institution in Northeast Ohio devoted solely to the visual arts and culture of the region. While we pride ourselves on this uniqueness, it is important to remember that as a regional art museum, we are one of many across the country. It speaks to the importance and relevance of our mission that numerous museums exist in the United States and beyond to document and exhibit the art of their region. Regional museums preserve the past we find in our own backyards, connecting us with art history in a very personal way.
